Las nominaciones para los Premios Tony 2023 fueron anunciadas hoy por la actriz Lea Michele , quien actualmente se encuentra en “Funny Girl” en Broadway, y Myles Frost , quien ganó un Premio Tony 2022 por su interpretación de Michael Jackson en el musical de Broadway “MJ”.
Un total de 38 espectáculos competÃan por las nominaciones a los premios Tony este año.
Para ser elegible, un espectáculo de Broadway debe haberse estrenado entre el 29 de abril de 2022 y el 27 de abril de 2023.
La ceremonia de premiación de este año está programada para el domingo 11 de junio.
“Some Like It Hot”, una versión musical de Broadway de la pelÃcula de Billy Wilder, obtuvo la mayor cantidad de nominaciones de cualquier programa, con 13 en total.
Los musicales " & Juliet ", " New York, New York " y "Shucked" siguieron cada uno con nueve nominaciones.
La estrella de televisión de “Killing Eve”, Jodie Comer , que nunca antes habÃa aparecido en un escenario, obtuvo una nominación a la mejor actriz principal en una obra de teatro por “ Prima Facie ” y Justin Cooley , un actor de Kansas de 19 años, obtuvo una nominación por su debut en Broadway en “ Kimberly Akimbo ”.
